Perspectives of the World: 1800-Present

Book Review over All the Shah’s Men by Stephen Kinzer

  • Completed in the fall of 2013, this project asked me to read and review the book by writing “a creative, thought-provoking analysis that addresses the issues” in the Project Guidelines. The project received 195 out of a possible 200 points.
  • This is an excellent example of my passionate writing, and I think it shows a significant amount of growth in my voice.

Public History Analysis–“The Power of Words in Public History”

  • Also completed in the fall of 2013, this essay allowed me to tour some historical museums and sites around Indianapolis. The essay received 185 out of a possible 200 points.
  • Project Guidelines.
  • My topic, the power words have when presenting history, was chosen so I could better connect what I studied in this class to my major field of study. Though there are many elements I would improve, I am satisfied, as this is my first analysis of this sort.
